Abstract
This scientific article scientifically analyzes the role of the sound director in
theatrical art, their creative and technical activities, the aesthetic function of sound in the stage
process, and the influence of modern technologies on theatrical sound design. The sound director is
considered as an important creative subject that ensures the artistic integrity of the stage work, and
their interaction with the actor, director, and stage designer is highlighted. The article provides
conclusions based on theoretical analysis, practical experience, and examples from modern
theatrical practice.
