Abstract
A general understanding of musical styles formed during the historical, cultural, and aesthetic development of music is provided. Musical style is a unique combination of expressive means, compositional techniques, rhythm, melody, orchestration, and performance intonation characteristic of a particular period, people, composer, or genre.
