Abstract

This article analyzes the nature of the dramatic genre, its stage incarnation, and the
mechanisms of direct impact on the audience. It explores the ways of influencing the consciousness
and emotions of the public through the fundamental concepts of dramatic art, such as action, stage
truth, and the "super-objective." Based on the theoretical views of K.S. Stanislavsky and other
prominent theater figures, the social and artistic functions of drama are revealed.
