Abstract

This article covers the content of Foley effects, their role in cinema and television, the 
history  of  their  emergence,  and  modern  methods  of  application.  It  provides  information  about  the 
contributions of American sound artist Jack Foley in this field, under what conditions and with what means 
effects are created. The article also emphasizes the importance of Foley effects in enhancing the realistic 
environment  and  reliability  of  films  and  audiovisual  products.  This  article  will  be  useful  for  readers 
interested in film, sound engineering, and audiovisual art.
