Abstract
SUMMARY. For several centuries, the "Ershora" epic held a prominent place in the repertoires of storytellers and remained a beloved and valuable spiritual heritage of our people. The main character of the epic is Er Shora. In the epic, he is depicted as a hero, a bogatyr, brave, intelligent, people-oriented, patriotic, and humanist. Shora is not born with the help of a miraculous force, as in some epics. Having been born among ordinary people, Doi gains strength of courage and bravery. In the epic, Chora's courage and strength are manifested from a young age.
