Abstract
This article explores festivals as an important cultural phenomenon that has expressed the
uniqueness, traditions, and values of different peoples, cultures, and communities over the centuries. Various
forms of festivals—such as music, theater, visual and applied arts, and national cuisine—highlight the
cultural aspects of this phenomenon. Today, festivals have become important platforms for addressing
pressing social and economic issues, strengthening their role as a cultural phenomenon, and influencing
societal change. The article analyzes leading musical festivals held in Uzbekistan, such as “Sharq taronalari”
and “Ilhom-XX” and examines their role in preserving the uniqueness of society and contributing to its
development. Additionally, festivals are essential in fostering international cultural dialogue, presenting
various art genres to the public, and preserving cultural heritage.
