Abstract
This article extensively analyzes the foundations of library organization theory, its
historical development, main principles, and modern perspectives. Issues of forming and storing library
collections, the advantages of information resource centers and digital libraries, and the impact of innovative
technologies on the industry are scientifically substantiated.
