Abstract

This article explores festivals as an important cultural phenomenon that has expressed the
uniqueness, traditions, and values of different peoples, cultures, and communities over the centuries. Various
forms  of  festivals—such  as  music,  theater,  visual  and  applied  arts,  and  national  cuisine—highlight  the
cultural  aspects  of  this  phenomenon.  Today,  festivals  have  become  important  platforms  for  addressing
pressing  social  and  economic  issues,  strengthening  their  role  as  a  cultural  phenomenon,  and  influencing
societal change. The article analyzes leading musical festivals held in Uzbekistan, such as “Sharq taronalari”
and  “Ilhom-XX”  and  examines  their  role  in  preserving  the  uniqueness  of  society  and  contributing  to  its
development.  Additionally,  festivals  are  essential  in  fostering  international  cultural  dialogue,  presenting
various art genres to the public, and preserving cultural heritage.
