Abstract
The article examines the Russian language as a multi-level linguistic system and a key means of preserving cultural identity. The main functions of the Russian language in modern society are analyzed, including its role in scientific and educational communication. Particular attention is paid to current issues of language development under the conditions of globalization and digitalization, as well as the influence of borrowings and digital communication on modern Russian language norms.
