Abstract

Karakalpak folk epics are a huge epic heritage reflecting the people's past, way of life, and
struggle for freedom. They differ from the epics of other Turkic peoples in their size, ancient layers, and
style of performance. Karakalpak dastans are not just a literary work, but the main source that preserved the
spiritual encyclopedia and national identity of the people.
