Abstract

This article provides an in-depth scientific analysis of the origin, historical development,
and genre classification of Karakalpak folk songs. Traditional approaches in folkloristics are critically
examined, and a new classification system is proposed based on the performance environment, musicalrhythmic features, and social functions of the songs. The plot and compositional structure of folk songs, as
well as the methodology of teaching folk musical heritage to young professionals in modern educational
institutions, are also explored.
