Abstract

This article analyzes the process of a conductor working with student performers on
musical pauses and their impact on stage performance. It highlights the dramatic and psychological
significance of musical pauses, their role in expressing a character’s inner emotions, and the pedagogical
approach of the conductor. The importance of correct interpretation of pauses is demonstrated through the
example of Nurxon.
